The 太阳集团娱乐场登陆网站 学生心理咨询 provides free, solution-focused personal counseling for currently enrolled students at SJC. Students include all persons who are registered in a 太阳集团娱乐场登陆网站 credit class. 成人基础教育, 通识教育, 太阳集团娱乐场登陆网站高中, and Dual Credit students are included in this definition.

It is recommended that students make appointments for all counseling sessions in order to confirm that a counselor will be available to them. Crisis situations will be handled as quickly as possible by a counselor.
There are several ways to schedule an appointment

- A court order issued by a judge may require a counselor to release information contained in records and/or require a counselor to testify in a court hearing.
- Counselors may consult with other counselors to provide the best possible care. These consultations are for quality assurance of services and professional purposes only.
There are multiple reasons for referring clients to community-based therapists. The following reasons are the most common:
- Multiple issues that will likely require extensive therapy
